Meetings
Den Meetings
Dens typically meet twice a month on Sunday afternoons.
Meetings are held at member’s homes on a rotating basis and/or held at away locations such as parks, museums, businesses, etc. to accommodate tours and special events.
Pack Meetings
The Pack meets once a month
with a second Pack event (e.g. bowling, Pinewood Derby, etc.) scheduled some months. The Pack has meetings at the Kirk on the third Monday every other month (September, November, January, March and May). The other months of the year, the Pack meets on a weekend or weekend day as part of a Pack campout, party or picnic.
Dues
The Pack charges dues in the amount of $50
(or $30 for new members this Sept.)
Pack membership and dues are renewed each January. Checks may be made payable to: Pack 218.
Dues cover:
Council's membership fee
Subscription to Boy's Life magazine
Cost of rank-specific Cub Scout handbook, cap, neckerchief(provided by Pack)
Cost of event admission fees (Pack pays Scouts’ admission at events such as the Durham Bulls)
Other costs incurred by the Pack such as campsite rentals, food for Pack events, etc.
About Us
Our Pack is of moderate size and with Dens of 5 to 12 Scouts at each grade level or around 40 Scouts total. Our members reside in Apex, Cary, and Morrisville and attend a number of different local churches and schools.
